Orcutt Ranch Wedding | Nathan & Sarah

Up until September 7th, 2019, Nathan & Sarah had been dating for TEN YEARS.

TEN.

And they’re both babies. That’s the only downside to dating when you’re in high school but these two beat the odds and finally tied the knot just a few weeks ago! I only have one sibling and so when he finally popped the question to Sarah - the wedding planning was on! Luckily for me, I love to plan things and these two were nice enough to let me insert myself into their entire wedding planning process and I had so much fun helping them with create this perfect day! All of my favorite vendors came together to make their wedding AMAZING and I couldn’t be more thankful to everyone who knocked it out of the park and spoiled my family!

This is by farrrrrr the longest blog post I’ve ever done because I’m emotionally attached to basically every image so.. sorry not sorry ;)

Santa Barbara Zoo Wedding | Edward & Monica

When we were out taking the Romantics of Edward and Monica, I looked at my second shooter and said, “Can all of our weddings be at the zoo from now on? Because this has spoiled me forever.” I mean, never in my career have I looked up from my camera to see a toucan looking at me so I can definitely say that I’ve hit a high point in my career ;) haha My animal-loving heart is still on cloud 9!

This was such a beautiful wedding and these two couldn’t have been any easier to work with! They were so down to earth and calm and obviously madly in love. It was a joy to witness their incredible day!!

Limoneira Ranch Wedding | TJ & Caitlin

2nd time in a week that I was at Limoneira and it didn’t disappoint! Caitlin & TJ’s beautiful, country affair was everything you could ever hope for and the sweetest little florals in Caitlin’s hair was my favorite part! These two have the absolute sweetest families and I was so lucky to be a part of their amazing day :) I’ve never seen a couple more excited to catch the bouquet and garter! Haha What a fun group!!

Limoneira Ranch Wedding | Ryan & Cindy

So this is one of the few weddings where I actually met the groom first! I used to work out at a local gym and Ryan was my favorite trainer. When he left to start his own gym I followed him but was only working out with him for a few months before I got pregnant and had such crazy morning sickness that I could barely walk to the kitchen without being exhausted, let alone work out - but by the time I was ready to hit the gym again (begrudgingly) Ryan had accepted an amazing job at Waste Management and his gym was gone. Bye, Ryan.

Enter Cindy! I was doing the dreaded blood glucose test at Kaiser (moms, you know that nasty orange drink.. so gross) and Cindy was the one who was drawing my blood. She recognized my name on my blood vials and we got to talking about weddings! I told her to call me when they set a date and… ta-da! Here we are!! It was my complete honor to be a part of their big day.

This girl is so special to me because she’s one of my girlfriends! I’m always flattered when people I know as friends trust me to do what I do best and I’m so grateful that Kelsey let me be a part of her incredible day. Never has there ever been a more calm bride.. Kels was still crafting and working on projects until she walked down the aisle and she rolled with any issue that popped up with a shrug - brides of the world: Take note!! Nothing matters except marrying the love of your life and a little wind shouldn’t put a damper on the celebrations! And Chris and Kelsey’s son, Hudson, pretty much stole the show with his cuteness. I can’t even handle his chubby little cheeks!!

Bel Air Bay Club Wedding | David & Natalie

I can't think of a better way to end my 2018 Wedding Season. David & Natalie's beautiful day was so perfect and full of love. They literally couldn't stay away from each other all night and I was so, so honored that they chose me to be a part of their incredible wedding! The flowers were INSANE, the live band was such a hit, and the food was basically the best ever. I don't think it could have gone better and we definitely couldn't have asked for more perfect weather. The beautiful breeze over the ocean was so refreshing considering the epic wildfires that are going on here in California!

The Oaks Club at Valencia Wedding | Christian & Desirée

First of all, we all know how much I love blush and Desirée's dress was all of my lacy, sparkly, blushy dreams come to life. True story. I love how the soft pink of her dress popped the lace on her wedding gown and perfectly coordinated with her color palette of burgundy, mauve and ivory! It was a beautiful October day and even though the wind kicked up a little during our portraits. Rather than freak out about it, Desirée embraced the wind and let me play! The movement in her photos is EVERYTHING. During the ceremony there were a few little sprinkles of rain but as soon as Christian's dad pronounced them as husband and wife, the skies parted and beautiful rays of sunshine burst through the clouds!! It could not have been more perfect. We actually got a rainbow for the Romantics as well (which was faint and I didn't even notice it until I was editing today.. can you find it?)

Villa Del Sol D'Oro Wedding | Nader & Janelle

Glamour & Grace. Janelle and her mom, Eileen, put so much thoughtful consideration into each and every detail of this incredible soiree. Nothing was overlooked, from the beautiful calligraphy on the escort mirror to dazzling strawberries on the dessert table! The guests waited with anticipation as the sounds of live music drifted across the garden. Janelle emerged from the Villa escorted by both her father and step father, and gracefully descended the stairs in a couture gown and a cathedral veil! The smile on Nader's face was absolutely priceless when he saw his bride - these two were surrounded with so much love from their family and closest friends during the beautiful, intimate ceremony. After the wedding, they strolled through the gardens before celebrating the night away!

I loved being a part of such a perfect day!

Rustic, country-glam! Be still my heart! I love it when I get end up having some fun, random connections with my couples. During our first meeting, Robin told me that they actually lived in Utah and would be flying out for the wedding! My husband's family is from a small-ish town in Utah and to be honest, I don't know many places in Utah but I can't keep my mouth shut ever so I asked them where they live thinking I probably would have absolutely no idea where they lived. Turns out they live in the exact same small town as my husband's family!! So that means, just like all of my amazing couples - they can never get rid of me haha

Jake & Robin tied the knot at Calamigos Ranch in front of a beautiful waterfall surrounded by their family and closest friends. It was a destination wedding on their end but I got to escape the heat of Valencia and head out to Malibu for their big day! Robin's bouquet was literal perfection and the personal touches they had all over the place were SO them!

I feel like I have so much to say about this amazing couple that I almost can't say anything without writing an epic novel that you really don't want to read anyway.. (Just show be the purty pictures and stop talking already, amirite?) But I just have to briefly mention that I met this adorable couple almost 2 years ago at a local coffee shop for a wedding photography consult! Little did I know at the time that I wasn't just meeting a future bride, but I was making a life-long friend. Over the last couple of years we have grown closer and I'm so honored and lucky that they picked me. I say it way too often and I'm sure it sounds braggy - but I literally have the best brides on the planet and Kirsten is no exception. She is smart, kind, funny, and sassy as hell and Brian is her perfect match. I can't let him get swept under the rug here, Brian is a cool dude. He is adored by his family, he is generous and caring, and I know that this freaking power couple (and their future fur-babies!) are going to have an incredible life together. They're currently eating every carb in Italy and I'm super jealous.

TPC Wedding: Tim & Jessica

I think this might have been the final wedding at TPC ever! Well, not really - but this favorite venue of mine was recently purchased by a new company and so now it's called The Oaks Club at Valencia. Looking forward to seeing how this country club moves forward into 2018! Tim & Jess are so. much. fun.

They poured themselves wholeheartedly into this wedding process and I absolutely loved the result of their labor of love! No little detail was left untouched and they had such an amazing day. My favorite little detail was that after Jess put on her dress, the sleeves kept falling off of her shoulders and she just rolled with it. It honestly turned the princess level up to 11 and I can't even imagine if she had left it on her shoulders like the original plan! This wedding is such an inspiration to you future brides - so take notes! The details are ON POINT.

A long time coming. Both this wedding and me actually publishing this blog post - goodness gracious! Between the crazy weather that we've been having here in SoCal (Sunny and 75º one day and then freezing and windy the next) and this flu season my calendar has been jam packed with reschedules and I've gotten behind with my posts! Speaking of freezing and windy; Tim & Dani's wedding was ice. cold. with a biting wind that made our fingers go blue - but it was absolutely FREAKING PERFECT. I've never met a bride as laid back as Dani, although I've known both her and Tim for years and years so it's always more fun to work with friends, and they brought their personalities in full force to this wedding. If you follow my blog on a semi-regular basis, this one is going to be a fun one to check out.

TPC Valencia Wedding: Tommy & Annie

I've known Anne so long that I actually don't remember meeting her. Well, back then she was Annie and I was Rebecca.. We've both adopted our nicknames as our permanent names now and I definitely feel like we've come a long way from 1992(?) or whenever we first crossed paths. Throughout the years our moms have stayed close friends and it was so fun to be able to share this special day with their whole family! Even though the wind was fierce that day and the temperatures were significantly lower than the easy winter weather we had been enjoying up until that point, their day was absolutely perfect and magical. Annie should be awarded some kind of Badass Bride Award because she braved the super cold weather in her beautiful, basically strapless, gown with the wind biting her skin, pretty much losing all feeling in her fingers and toes. But can I just say.. WORTH IT. My favorite images of the day were the freezing cold ones on the golf course and I couldn't be happier with the end result :)

Golden Road Brewery Wedding: Angel & Nancy

What a fun wedding to wrap up the end of my wedding season with! A BEAUTIFUL ceremony in a park (subtle beer hints of what was to come haha) and then a reception at the coolest little place I had ever been to. Hidden in the back of a local brewery was a gem of a space that was absolutely perfect for Angel & Nancy's wedding reception. Super cool, laid back, and full of great food and drink! Not sure what more you could ask for for the party of the year :)

Congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs. Cooper! Their beautiful day was full of love, family, friends, and my favorite part of any wedding: tacos. I don't think we've had a prettier October day and I'm so humbled and honored that I got to photograph a second Ramirez wedding! I photographed her sister's wedding a couple of years ago right before I had my son. We actually had a running joke that I'd go into labor at her wedding because we cut it so close haha so I'm also really thankful that that wasn't the case this time around. Swollen ankles suck when you're trying to shoot a full day of love!

Bella Vista Groves Wedding | Frankie & Bri

I can't even with this girl. I love her so much. I met Bri a little over a year ago and we clicked instantly!  Her story, her love, her family, her friends - everyone pulled together for this incredible day. Bri and Frankie are a match made in heaven. Seriously. I've said it a million times but I'm blessed with the most gorgeous, genuine brides and my grooms are kind, true, and hilarious. All of them. And Frankie was no exception! Not only is he incredibly sweet, but he had some really impressive dance moves (see below haha).

I always get a little teary at all of my weddings. Not full blown tears, but a little misty! Either during the ceremony while I'm looking at the groom, or during some especially heartfelt vows, or a really touching speech. But I was a blubbering mess during this wedding MULTIPLE times. Hot mess. I will give a quick shout-out to Urban Decay "All Nighter" Setting Spray because my makeup didn't budge! I cried when Bri's 3 brothers walked her down the aisle, I cried during the ceremony, and I for sure cried like a freaking baby when she danced with her mom.

All the tears. All the love for this wedding.
